Kagitate (kah-ghee-tah-teh) is a bespoke workshop for sculpted ergonomic keyboards. We measure the bone structure of your hands — finger lengths, joint positions — and derive every key position from it. Instead of forcing your hands onto an off-the-shelf board, we shape the board around your hands.

From your hand's skeletal data — metacarpal and finger lengths, joint positions — our algorithm derives the position, angle and height of every single key. Your fingers do not reach for the keys; the keys wait where your fingers naturally fall.
Before the final build, we ship you a fitting kit — a printed test plate. Rest your fingers on it, tell us how it feels, and we adjust the design. "It arrived but doesn't fit" is designed out of the process.
A split, Dactyl-style enclosure whose keys follow the curvature of your palms in three dimensions. Each one is 3D-printed individually from your design data, which you can inspect in our browser-based 3D viewer.

After approval, payment is handled through our shop on BOOTH, a marketplace run by pixiv. Once confirmed, we build your keyboard and ship it to you.
Ahead of our full launch, we are taking a small number of pilot orders from people willing to walk through the tailoring process with us. Pricing and specifications are quoted individually, and payment is handled securely through BOOTH (by pixiv). We currently ship within Japan; international shipping is available on request.

During our pilot period, pricing is quoted individually based on your configuration (split pair or single hand, switches, rows). Consultation, hand measurement and design review are free — you only pay after approving the design.
